Echeveria - BLUE METAL - Mexican Hen and Chicks

Echeveria 'Blue Metal' is a stunning succulent prized for its unique rosette shape and distinctive foliage colour. The leaves are a striking bluish-metallic hue with a smooth, fleshy texture, making it a beautiful focal point in succulent arrangements or as a standalone feature in pots and garden beds. Ideal for sunny outdoor spaces, it also thrives in bright indoor settings, provided it has good light. This hardy succulent is well-suited to Perth’s climate, tolerating periods of dry weather and requiring minimal watering once established.

'Blue Metal' is best grown in a well-draining sandy or gritty soil mix, making it perfect for rock gardens or container displays. This Echeveria benefits from occasional feeding during the warmer months with a diluted, low-nitrogen succulent fertiliser. Although not a heavy bloomer, it may produce delicate, bell-shaped flowers in late summer (Bunuru), adding a subtle charm to its already unique appearance.
